About Us:
This website was created by the Anthropological Science Capstone class of 2022. This class involved choosing an anthropological concept and creating a platform to inform a target audience about. We have split our six concepts into their appropriate areas, however, these are not the only subject areas in anthropological science. Our chosen concepts are not overarching, but they were each handpicked from the many by the six capstone students.
Below are where our concepts sit within anthropological science and some of the other concepts that are not yet shown on this platform:

What is Anthropological Science?
Do you ever wonder how humans came to be and how they are continually shaped today? Anthropology is the study of humans and their interactions. Anthropological science combines humanities and science to explore the vastness of human interaction and our impact on the planet. Studying anthropological science will give you a broad and rich understanding of the place humans have on Earth and how we got to where we are today. It involves a wide range of sub-disciplines, such as archaeology, biological anthropology, and medical anthropology, to name a few.
We have looked into 6 of the many concepts within anthropological science. Archaeological concepts such as sedentism, style and diffusion have been explored. Biological anthropology and primatology are encompassed by the species concepts, and medical anthropology through concepts of embodiment and stigma.
